Trumbull Regional and Sharon Regional Medical Center to host Men's Health Events in Honor of Prostate Cancer Awareness Month

On Wednesday, September 28 at 6pm and on Thursday, September 29 at 5pm, Trumbull and Sharon Regional Medical Center will host events marking September as Prostate Cancer Awareness Month and supporting community wellness through critical screenings and preventative care. Prostate Cancer is the most common cancer in men, other than skin cancer, in fact about 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during their lifetime.

“Prostate cancer can often be found early by testing for prostate-specific antigens, in a man’s blood” said Saad Hatahet, Urologist at Trumbull Regional and Sharon Regional Medical Center. “Men should make an informed decision with their provider considering age, ethnicity, and family history to determine when they should be screened for prostate cancer” said Hatahet.

Trumbull Regional and Sharon Regional Medical Centers, along with Steward Health Care, are focused on the importance of community-based care and supporting the preventative care that can increase positive health outcomes and boost public health. These community events will promote men’s health and wellness and prostate cancer prevention. Learn more below:
